Abstract

Innovation is a new idea or thought that is used to create a new thing or product that has never existed before. The Arimbi Peasant Women's Group (KWT) carried out an innovation in food processing made from aloevera. This innovation was carried out because the members of the Arimbi Peasant Women's Group (KWT) wanted to make the most of the results of the cultivation of aloevera plants. This study aims to describe the form of food processing innovation made from aloevera carried out by the Arimbi Farmer Women's Group (KWT) and the results of the food processing innovation. The research method used by researchers is using qualitative descriptive methods. In informant determination techniques and sampling techniques using purposive sampling based on criteria. Data collection techniques in this study are using observation, interview, and documentation techniques. After collecting data using these three techniques, the validity of the data will be seen and then analyzed using several stages, namely: data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and conclusions. The result of this research is the innovation carried out by the Arimbi Peasant Women's Group (KWT), namely in the form of product innovation and process innovation. Processed food products made from aloevera produced by the Arimbi Peasant Women's Group (KWT) are in the form of nata de aloevera, aloevera leather chips, aloevera eskrim, and aloevera chesee sticks. The process innovation they carry out consists of various processing techniques from frying, boiling, to mixing aloevera with other ingredients to become an interesting processed food. The processing of food made from aloevera carried out by the Arimbi Farmer Women's Group (KWT) has succeeded in empowering members of the group and the surrounding community. This is evidenced by the innovation of food processing that is able to increase the knowledge of members to increase the income of the group and also the community in Padukuhan Sambilegi Kidul, Maguwoharjo.
