Abstract

This is trying to find out what factors are causing the growth of petroleum energy consumption in G20 countries. Fossil energy if continuously used will have a very bad impact on the environment. This study aims to analyze the effect of economic growth, population, subsidies and renewable energy growth on petroleum consumption in G20 countries from 2010-2020. This study used secondary data with Ordinary Least Square (OLS) analysis. Based on the results of the analysis that has been carried out, economic growth has a significant positive effect as well as the variables of population and subsidies. The renewable energy growth variable shows different results, namely having a significant negative effect. In addition, what policies are being taken to reduce non-renewable energy.
