Abstract

Retirement is an important event in life that is experienced by every individual and a comfortable retirement requires good planning. The aim of this research is to investigate the effect of financial literacy, saving attitude, social influence, and religiousity on retirement financial planning. This quantitative descriptive research uses primary data with a data collection method, namely a questionnaire with a Likert scale measurement. The sample in this study were employees in Java and Sumatra, totaling 207 respondents. The data analysis method is SEM-PLS using SmartPLS version 3 software with the Multi-Group Analysis (MGA) approach moderated by educational level which is divided into two groups based on educational-level categories. The results of the study show that financial literacy, saving attitude, social influence, and religiousness have a positive and significant impact on retirement financial planning. Meanwhile, the moderating variable with Multi-Group Analysis (MGA) shows that there are differences in the results between employees with different levels of education regarding retirement financial planning.
