Abstract

Students must be able to become hope for parents and society so that they can become positive individuals and can set a good example. Students are expected to be able to control themselves well from their actions, behavior or other things which will then be implemented in their daily life, both for themselves and their daily lives in society. By having spiritual and emotional intelligence in each individual, it is expected to be able to guide him in establishing and acting as a form of self-control in living everyday life. The purpose of this study was to find out: 1) what is the level of spiritual intelligence of IAIN Ponorogo students? 2) what is the level of emotional intelligence of PAI IAIN Ponorogo students? 3) what is the level of self-control of PAI IAIN Ponorogo students? 4) what is the influence of spiritual intelligence on the self-control of IAIN Ponorogo PAI students? 5) what is the influence of emotional intelligence on the self-control of IAIN Ponorogo PAI students? 6) what is the influence of spiritual intelligence and emotional intelligence on the self-control of IAIN Ponorogo PAI students? This research is a quantitative research. Data collection was carried out using angle techniques to measure spiritual intelligence and emotional intelligence and self-control. The sample in this study amounted to 90 using simple random sampling. Data analysis used descriptive statistical analysis, prerequisite test, and multiple linear regression. The results showed that: 1) The number of high-level spiritual intelligence categories was 14 respondents with a percentage of 15%, the medium category was 61 respondents with a percentage of 68% and the low category was 15 people with a percentage of 17%. 2) The number of high-level categories of emotional intelligence was a number 12 respondents with a percentage of 13%, the moderate category is 68 respondents with a percentage of 76% and the low category is 10 people with a percentage of 11%, 3) The number of high categories of self-control is 18 respondents with a percentage of 20%, the medium category is 56 respondents with a percentage 62%, and the low category is 16 people with a percentage of 18%, 4) spiritual intelligence is able to have a positive and significant influence on self-control with a value of t count (2.571) > t table (1.99), 5) emotional intelligence is able gives a positive and significant influence on self control with t count (2.544) > t table (1.99), 6) Pseudo a variable x has an effect on variable y, so in conclusion spiritual intelligence and emotional intelligence have a significant influence on self-control.
