Abstract

This study aims to examine the effect of company size, business risk, sales growth, profitability, liquidity, asset structure, corporate tax rate, and conditions before and during the global economic crisis due to Covid-19 on the capital structure of telecommunications subsector companies registered on ISSI. The selection of the sample in this study used a purposive sampling method which resulted in a sample of six telecommunications subsector companies. The analytical method used in this research is panel data regression analysis as measured using Stata 14 software with the selected model, namely the Random Effect Model (REM). The results showed that the variable firm size and sales growth had a significant positive effect on capital structure. The profitability variable has a significant negative effect on capital structure. Meanwhile, other variables such as business risk, liquidity, asset structure, corporate tax rate, and conditions before and during the global economic crisis due to Covid-19 have no significant effect on capital structure.
