Abstract

There are so many Muslim populations both in Indonesia and in the world. To form an Islamic society, of course it is necessary to strive for Islamic education which is always developing, sustainable and actualized. There are three values for instilling Islamic education, in instilling the value of Islamic education one of which can be done with art. This research aims to: 1) describe Bedouin poetry and dance in Sleman district from the perspective of Islamic educational values; 2) knowing Which aspects of Bedouin poetry and dance contain the value of Islamic education? The type of research used is qualitative research. Data collection techniques using interviews, observation and documentation. Data analysis using data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. To test the validity of the data in this study using triangulation. The results of this study are first, Bedouin poetry and dance in Sleman district from the perspective of Islamic educational values. The values of Islamic education in question are the values of faith (I'tiqadiyyah), the values of actions (Amaliyyah), and ethical values (khulqiyyah). The values of Islamic education applied to the dancers of the Al-Fattah Cakralaras association, the Pathok Negoro association and the Al-Fallah association have not all been applied, because basically to practice the values of Islamic education, it is also supported by a strong and good environment and understanding of religion. The living environment of the three associations is different, starting from the environment linked to the pesantren, linked to the palace and linked to ordinary people in general. Second, aspects of Bedouin poetry and dance that contain Islamic educational values ranging frommovement, dance accompaniment, theme, purpose or message, and costume. The theme of the Bedouin dance is religious with the aim of preaching Islam through art.There is a movement that is full power, compact,movement a little hard, but soft and Islamic,as well as simplicity in movement. This has the goal of being easy to understand, because the audience is of all ages, let's say if children see the Badui dance performance it is estimated that it will be easy to follow.Then the movement in the Bedouin dance adjusts to the lyrics of the dance accompaniment. Related to costumes, including closed costumes. Being one of the signs that the dance has an Islamic theme. The music uses typical Islamic tambourine instruments (genjring and jidor) and the lyrics are sholawat, praises to the creator and the Prophet Muhammad SAW. The poems that have been interpreted have educational values as follows, respect for guests, orders to study, nationalism, respect for the Prophet Muhammad SAW, monotheism of Allah andworship orders.
