Abstract

Character education is a very important element for today as a society in general and especially for students and students. So that this nation has a clear character and in accordance with the ideology of the nation. religious and nationalist character as the basis of the values needed to become a wise human being, and Soekarno is a very fitting figure in this research whose thoughts have very high religious and nationalist character values. Writing is not only classical in nature but also made contextual with the current curriculum, so character education is relevant to the independent learning curriculum. The problems of this writing are: 1. Soekarno's thoughts on religious and nationalist character education, and 2. Soekarno's thoughts on religious-nationalist character education and its relevance to the independent curriculum. To answer this research, the authors used a qualitative method with a type of literature research. The data sources in this research include books written by Soekarno, other authors who talk about Soekarno and writers who discuss the profile of Pancasila students, and data obtained from relevant sources used as a reference in helping to analyze the problems that arise. The methods used to analyze and explain character education, religious and nationalist character education, profiles of Pancasila students, and independent learning on an independent campus. The purpose of writing this thesis is to find out Soekarno's thoughts on religious-nationalist character education and their relevance to the independent curriculum. The results of this research get an analysis from the author that religious and nationalist character education from Soekarno's perspective is to become a wise human person in managing national and religious life. then the relevance to the independent curriculum, in which in the curriculum there is a discussion of Pancasila student profiles is an idea, ideas, and previous theories that are practiced in the current era to answer the challenges of the times and reflect a nation that has a character that is in accordance with the Pancasila precepts as the national ideology.
