Abstract

The research aims to (1) Producing physics learning modules by utilizing the local potential of tile making on temperature and heat materials for class XI SMA / MA students, (2) Knowing the quality of physics learning modules by utilizing the local potential of tile making according to media experts and material experts, (3) Knowing the response of students to the physics learning module by utilizing the local potential of making tiles on temperature and heat materials for class XI SMA / MA students. This research is a Research and Development (R&D) research. This development method uses a 4-D model, which includes (1) Define, (2) Design, (3) Development, (4) Disseminate. This research is limited to develop steps, which a small field test. The instruments used in this research were validation sheets , assessment sheets, and student response sheets. Meanwhile, the assessment of the quality of the physics module by utilizing the local potential of making sokka tiles using a likert scale with a scale of 4 and the response of students using the Guttman scale in the form of a checklist. The result of this study is a physics module by utilizing the local potential of making sokka tiles on temperature and heat materials for high school / MA students. The quality of physics modules based on the assessment of material experts has an excellent category (SB) and media experts have a good category (B) with average scores from several aspects of 3.66 and 3.17 respectively, and the physics teacher assessment has an excellent category (SB) with an average score of 3.9. Meanwhile, the response of students in the limited test obtained an agree category (S) with an average score of 0.95.
