Abstract

This research is motivated by the importance of mastering the character of discipline and responsibility in students which is proclaimed when learning online. PAI subjects are one of the lessons in which there are efforts to build disciplined character and responsibility when online learning is taking place. Character building aims to enable students' social attitude competence to be active so that learning and teaching activities both offline and online can be carried out optimally. For this reason, efforts to foster disciplined and honest characters when learning PAI online in order to improve the competence of students' social attitudes are considered very interesting if discussed. The aims of this study are 1) To determine the focus of learning activities carried out by PAI teachers at SMKN Takeran in carrying out discipline and responsibility character building in online learning for PAI subjects, 2) To determine the urgency and pattern of coaching, and 3) To determine the implementation of character building. This is to improve the competence of students' social attitudes at SMKN Takeran. This research is a type of field research or field research, and there are several ways to collect data, namely using the methods of observation, interviews, and documentation. The subject cannot be separated from several elements of the school, namely the students, teachers, and employees. The results of the study show that 1) The focus of learning Islamic Religious Education at SMKN Takeran is on several aspects, namely the formation of competence attitudes, knowledge and skills, 2) To develop the competence of social attitudes of students, added tasks that are adjusted to the attitude indicators to be achieved and there are 3 models PAI online learning, namely direct and indirect assignment models, interactive lectures, and active discussions, 3) the division of categories of indicators for the implementation of character development for the development of social attitude competence consists of two characters, namely discipline and responsibility, each of which has an example of real action.
