Abstract

The background of this research discusses the conflicts faced by married couples so they need a counselor to help overcome them. One of them is a counselor at the Al Ghazali Counseling Center Kuala Lumpur, the Al Ghazali Counseling Center Kuala Lumpur is a professional counseling center of a socio-religious nature founded by Mej Alias under the Malaysian Army Religion Koran (KAGAT) in helping to create awareness for clients. This study aims to determine the stages of implementing Al Ghazali family counseling and the main factors in the occurrence of marital conflict at the Al Ghazali Counseling Center Kuala Lumpur. This research is a field research with a qualitative field research approach with a descriptive type. The subjects of this study were counselors at the Al Ghazali Counseling Center Kuala Lumpur. Collecting data using interviews and documentation. Data analysis uses qualitative data analysis where the data that has been collected is compiled and clarified so that it describes the answer to the problem formulation. The results of the study indicate that the main factor in the occurrence of conflict between husband and wife at the Al Ghazali Counseling Center Kuala Lumpur usually comes from six main factors which are divided into four parts, namely family crisis, namely first, the breakdown of communication between families, especially husband and wife including communication and relationships that are less harmonious with in-laws. Second, economic problems include finance. Third, the problem of busyness includes husband and wife lacking responsibility and fourth, the problem of infidelity includes having relationships with other women and living far from their partners. Furthermore, the stages of implementing family counseling at the Al Ghazali Counseling Center are carried out face to face through seven sessions and counseling is given according to the problems faced by clients and the main factors in the occurrence of marital conflict at the Al Ghazali Counseling Center Kuala Lumpur
