Abstract

Independence is an effort to establish business initiatives to complete responsibilities and be able to create new ideas. Wahana Taruna Bhakti is a village organization protected by law and has a lot of involvement in youth development activities. The stages that are proven to be implemented are one indicator of the progress of Karang Taruna. The running of the Wahana Taruna Bhakti organization creates good communication between leaders and members in achieving institutional independence. This research was qualitative research using descriptive analysis methods. Data analysis techniques in this study used three components, namely data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing, adopted from Basrowi and Kelvin. Data collection techniques were observation, interviews, and documentation. All research data were examined for validity using data triangulation techniques and method triangulation. The data were also analyzed through data reduction processes, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. As for the research findings, it is revealed that Karangtaruna is a vehicle for cadets of devotional service in the independence process in strengthening the independence of members and Karangtaruna. This is demonstrated by the increase in hard and soft skills and productivity with better habits, behaviour, knowledge, and initiatives to motivate each other among members.
