Abstract

Persons with disabilities get a negative stigma from society. In addition, they are sometimes alienated by equal opportunities and isolated from the economic aspect. This creates a lack of confidence in the social life of persons with disabilities. On this basis, PT. Pertamina EP Asset 5 Tarakan Field is present at the empowerment of persons with disabilities to identify and analyze the processes and strategies for KUBEDISTIK empowerment through the program in Kampung Satu Village. This research method uses descriptive qualitative. With data collection techniques used through observation, interviews and documentation. The results of this study show the stages of the process used through the theory of community development intervention models that start on the basis of requests and offers from local heroes. Where this theory starts from the preparation stage, the assessment stage, the action plan formulation stage, the implementation/implementation stage and the evaluation stage along with the success indicators used in evaluating the program. Then the strategy used in this study includes three stages, namely Enabling, Empowering and Protecting.
