Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the strategy of the Zero Waste Learning Community in introducing a lifestyle of minimal waste in Sleman Regency. This study also aims to determine changes in attitudes and behavior of alumni participants in implementing a minimal waste lifestyle in daily life after participating in learning at the Zero Waste Learning Community. The research method used in this study is a qualitative research method. Data collection techniques were carried out through observation, interviews, and documentation on the founders, supervisors, and alumni of the Zero Waste Learning Community. The data obtained is valid data and analyzed through data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results of this study indicate that (1) the strategy carried out by the Zero Waste Learning Community consists of two, namely disseminating information through Instagram and having excellent programs including research (on waste analysis), SILATNAS (National Gathering), online learning classes, alumni Zero Waste Learning Class participants apply the knowledge gained in their respective regions. (2) Changes in attitude and behavior of alumni after attending the Zero Waste Learning Class. Changes in attitude include cognition components (understanding in handling waste), affective components (feeling of guilt when littering), and conation components (understanding and feelings of guilt when littering). Behavioral changes include Planned Change and Readiness to Change in reducing, sorting and processing waste.
