Abstract

The background of this research is that the Scientific Approach by the 2013 Curriculum (K13) is seen as an appropriate learning approach to be applied in learning various subjects in Indonesia. As a new approach, of course in its application it faces obstacles caused by various things, both teachers, students, teaching materials, and the learning strategies used. Seeing from this situation, several approaches are needed in learning so that students can know and understand that education is something that must be carried out and fulfilled in order to become people of character and success in the future. because they are very concerned about the presence of students who have not reached the Minimum Completeness Criteria, their learning motivation is lacking enthusiasm in participating in learning Arabic and there are still many students who cannot read Arabic writing. This research uses the True Experimental research approach. with a sample of class XI MAN 1 Ciamis students using data collection techniques in the form of questionnaires, observations, interviews, documentation, and tests. The data analysis technique used is the SPSS 24 "T" test (Paired Sample T-Test). The results of this study indicate that: 1. The application of a scientific approach to the process of learning Arabic in class XI MAN 1 CIamis has been carried out and is running smoothly. The students are expected to be active in the process of learning activities to hone their potential and be developed with the help of the teacher. 2. The results of the study found that the scientific approach greatly influenced students' learning motivation, which was equal to 59.6%. In the results of this study, the authors hope that students are more enthusiastic about participating in learning activities both inside and outside the classroom and are able to explore the process of learning Arabic. 3. The scientific approach also influences student learning outcomes, especially in learning Arabic, the percentage is 34%. Thus it can be understood that the implementation of the scientific approach is expected to improve the learning outcomes of class XI students at MAN 1 Ciamis.
