Abstract
This research is motivated by the problem of learning assessment in schools which still only focuses on assessing knowledge, ignoring assessments on aspects of skills and attitudes and tends not to use assessment instruments when conducting assessments. The main objective of this research is to develop a skills assessment instrument based on performance appraisal through character-laden practices to determine the feasibility and practicality of the developed assessment instrument. The research was conducted using research and development (R&D) with reference to the ADDIE model which has 5 stages of development namely analyze, design, development, implementation and evaluation. The subjects in the study were educators and students of class III SD at SDN 1 Jauh Jaya and SDN 1 Nirwana, totaling 4 educators and 50 students. Data collection techniques used are interviews, documentation, and questionnaires. The results of the data were analyzed using a Likert scale, CVI test, content validity test of Aiken's V, construct validity test using EFA factor analysis, kohen kappa coefficient reliability test, and practicality test. The results of this study are as follows: 1) the development process based on the five stages of ADDIE produces needs and curriculum analysis, instrument design, assessment instrument products, implements instruments and produces valid, reliable and practical instrument products. 2) The feasibility results through validation by the validators are declared very feasible with an average score of 86%. The results of the validity test using 3 raters concluded that the assessment instrument was declared valid with an average score of V, namely 0.95833 with a high feasibility interpretation. On the feasibility of the construct the instrument was tested using Exploratory Factor Analysis (EFA) to obtain a KMO value of 0.61 with the results of the Barlett's test assumption test, obtaining a p value <0.001 and forming 2 factors. While the results of the reliability test of the assessment instrument with the kohen kappa coefficient obtained each kappa value of 0.766, 0.812, 0.812, and 0.782 with the conclusion that there is a high agreement between raters. 3) The results of the practicality test of the assessment instrument obtained a score of 90%, and 88.6% with the practicality interpretation of the assessment instrument in the very practical category.
