Abstract
This study aims to determine the relationship between gratitude and self-esteem on happiness among honorary teachers in the Special Region of Yogyakarta and West Nusa Tenggara. The number of honorary teacher subjects used was 638 (N=638) with 435 subjects from DIY and 203 subjects from NTB. The scale used is the adapted Oxford Happiness Questionnaire, gratitude scale, and Coopersmith's Self Esteem Inventory. The research method is a quantitative correlation with multiple regression analysis. The research results show that the hypothesis is accepted with a value of F = 39,669 and sig. 0.00 (p <0.05) which means there is a positive relationship between gratitude and self-esteem towards happiness. While the t value indicates a significant positive relationship with the acquisition of 3,436 and sig. 0.01 (p < 0.05) in the gratitude variable and 8.312 with sig. 0.00 (p <0.05) on self-esteem variable. This means that the independent variable gratitude and self-esteem correlate with the dependent variable happiness. Gratitude and self-esteem together make an effective contribution of 11.1% to happiness. An effective contribution of 88.9% is given by other variables that are not included in this study
