This type of research is field research with the nature of analytic descriptive research conducted in Tanen Village, Rejotangan District, Tulungagung Regency, East Java Province. The object of this research is the families of migrant workers whose marriages still survive. This study uses a gender sociology approach using interpersonal communication theory by Joseph A. Devito and mubādalah theory by Faqihuddin Abdul Qadir. The data collection technique used interviews with surviving migrant workers' families as primary material and literature such as books, journals, scientific papers and articles as secondary material. The results of the study concluded that the migrant worker's families in Tanen Village were able to maintain harmony in their families. This is done through opennes, empathy, supportivness, positiveness and equality. Open communication with migrant families is always done by telling the truth. Be empathetic by taking care of each other's feelings and giving each other attention and sensitivity to your partner. Support each other by giving a sense of enthusiasm to your partner. Be positive by keeping commitments to each other and keeping your word with your partner. Equality by not cornering each other, both of them want to work together and hold deliberations in determining things and making decisions together. Another way that migrant workers' families do to maintain family harmony is by maintaining a commitment to live together in order to create peace and integrate love. Complementary between partners and treat each other well. Apply deliberation in deciding something and always provide comfort between partners. The fulfillment of the rights and obligations of husband and wife in the families of migrant workers in Tanen Village is to adapt to each other as long as both of them protect the marriage and do not violate norms and Islamic law.
