Abstract

Islamic boarding schools are educational institutions that play a role in shaping the religious behavior of their students. This educational institution continuously tries to instill good morals and behavior in students. This attitude and behavior come from the administrators who serve as examples for the students. The administrators are responsible for cultivating the religious attitudes and behavior of the santri, while these administrators are classified as teenagers who are still happy to enjoy their world. On the other hand, administrators who are still studying and working often feel exhausted when they return to the Islamic boarding school and are sometimes lazy in carrying out their management activities after carrying out activities outside the Islamic boarding school. This research uses a type of qualitative research using a descriptive approach. The theory used in writing this research uses Raymound F. Palouitzian's theory of orientation, attitudes, and religious behavior. Data collection techniques are carried out by direct observation, interviews with the parties concerned, and documentation. This study aims to provide an overview of the orientation, attitude, and religious behavior of the administrators of the Nurul Jannah Jomboran Islamic boarding school The results showed that (1) the administrators of the Nurul Jannah Jomboran Islamic boarding school had different orientations, attitudes, and religious behavior. This religious behavior can be seen through their religious activities such as prayer, fasting, pilgrimage to graves, and prayers. These religious activities make them experience changes for the better. (2) The orientation, attitudes, and religious behavior of the administrators of the Nurul Jannah Islamic boarding school when linked to Raymound F. Palouitzian's theory of religious orientation, attitudes, and behavior, can make a person in an intrinsic religious orientation and an extrinsic religious orientation. Initially, the administrators of the Nurul Jannah Islamic boarding school had an indiscriminately pro-religious religious orientation, because in their management they had two tendencies, namely carrying out the management sincerely, but not refusing to receive a salary. The religious attitude of these administrators changed, namely, 33.3% (2 people) of the administrators had an extrinsic attitude, while the other 66.7% (4 people) had an intrinsic attitude. Then in religious behavior, all of these administrators still experience intrinsic behavior because they have realized that management makes them in a better direction.
