Abstract

Religious experience is defined as an individual's religious awareness and then living religious teachings in daily life on a daily basis a religious experience is one important aspect for santri to propagate religious consciousness and obedience, as is the purpose of the boarding school education itself. It might be said that a religious experience when a person has undergone a religious ritual like the pray, dzikr, etc. This study aims to find out how the religious experience of santri at Ushuluddin Boarding School. The study use qualitative methods with a phenomenological approach and involves three persons of santri as data retrieval informers. In this study used a semistructured interview technique. This data analysis involves, taking data, reduction of data, the presentation of data selected to sentence and conclusion. The results of this study indicate that the religious experience of an informants was obtained from religious ritual performed such as pray, du’a, shalawat and studying religion in boarding school.
