Abstract
Until now, women still receive discriminatory and unfair treatment in society. This then led to discussion forums that debated women's discourse. One of them alleged that religious arguments were what shackled women's freedom and rights. Finally, religious leaders also jumped in to explain this issue to their followers. Among them is the young female preacher Imaz Fatimatuz Zahro who voices her discourse on the NU Online Youtube Channel. This research is a qualitative descriptive study, which uses the critical discourse analysis method of the Sara Mills model as well as the theory of feminism and the theory of hegemony to reinforce the explanation in the analysis carried out. The results of the study show that Ning Imaz's discourse was able to ward off accusations of religion as a disaster for women. In the subject-object position and the discourse communicator-audiences position, women are shown by Ning Imaz in positive images that have potential and ability. Ning Imaz also discusses women as figures who are allowed to be in the public space, are intellectual, and are independent. However, in the context of the household, multi-role and obedient to her husband are discussed.
