Abstract

In the current era, where the significance of endeavor is often overlooked, the presence of films serves not merely as entertainment, but also as a source of messages that can be extracted. This study employs a qualitative approach, utilizing Roland Barthes' semiotic analysis, to unveil the representation of endeavor messages within the film "Sultan Agung: Tahta, Perjuangan dan Cinta". The researcher analyzes the film through Stuart Hall's theory of representation. The findings of this research illustrate that the film "Sultan Agung: Tahta, Perjuangan, dan Cinta" presents various forms of representing the attitude of endeavor, encompassing notions of hard work, unwavering perseverance, learning and practice, as well as accountability.
