Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of inflation, interest rates, and operating costs on the margins of murabahah financing at Islamic commercial banks in Indonesia. Murabaha financing margin is the main indicator of the profitability of Islamic banks that reflects the bank's ability to generate profits from financing products. This research method uses historical data on the financial reports of Islamic commercial banks in Indonesia for a certain period. These data were analyzed using appropriate statistical techniques and regression models. Inflation, interest rates, and operational costs are identified as independent variables, while the murabaha financing margin is the dependent variable. The results of the study show that inflation, interest rates, and operational costs have a significant influence on the margins of murabahah financing at Islamic commercial banks in Indonesia. Inflation and interest rates have a negative impact on margins, while operating costs have a positive impact. This finding has important implications for the risk management and business strategy of Islamic banks. Bank management can use the results of this study to optimize their murabaha financing margins by considering external factors such as inflation and interest rates, as well as managing operational costs efficiently.
