Abstract

Unemployment is a rather complicated problem. Limited job opportunities are the main source of the increase in unemployment. This study aims to analyze the effect of the Minimum Wage, Human Development Index, and Economic Growth on the Open Unemployment Rate in the Province of D.I Yogyakarta. This study uses secondary data taken from the Central Bureau of Statistics (BPS) on Minimum Wage, Human Development Index, Economic Growth and Open Unemployment Rate. This study uses analysis using the Error Correction Model (ECM) method of time series data which is then processed using the EVIEWS10 application. The research conducted shows that simultaneously the variables Minimum Wage, Human Development Index, and Economic Growth have a significant effect on the Open Unemployment Rate in the Province of D.I Yogyakarta in 2000 - 2022. Partially the variable Minimum Wage, Human Development Index has a significant negative effect on the Open Unemployment Rate in Province of D.I Yogyakarta in the long term. Meanwhile, economic growth partially has no significant effect on the open unemployment rate in the province of D.I Yogyakarta in the long term. For the short term all variables have no significant effect
