Abstract

The increase in the number of the workface as a result of the demographic bonus phenomenon has become capital for the aspects of economic development. This study aims to analyze what factors influence the absorption of labor in the industrial sector in West Java Province. The factors analyzed were Economic Growth, Education Level, District Minimum Wage, Number of Industries, and Inflation. The data used in this research is panel date with an observation period form 2017-2021 and 27 districts/cities. The exact regression results in this research are by using the random effect model regression method where the results are known District Minimum wage and Number of Industries have a positive and significant effect on employment in the industrial sector. While Economic Growth, Level of Education and Inflation have no effect on employment in the industrial sector in West Java Province
