Abstract

Central Bank Digital Currency (CBDC) is an important concept studied by Bank Indonesia to address financial infrastructure efficiency issues and problems in the financial system. To be able to help increase the acceptance of CBDC, it is necessary to analyze user determinants for CBDC adoption, namely perceived risk, trust, convenience, facilitation of literacy with religiosity as a moderating variable. A total of 180 sample data domiciled in Yogyakarta were collected and analyzed with a quantitative approach using PLS-SEM with WarpPLS 8.0. The results showed that the perceived risk variable had a negative and insignificant effect, while the trust, convenience, literacy facilitation and religiosity variables had a significant positive effect on adoption intention. Moderation of religiosity on the relationship between trust and convenience toward intention adoption shows an insignificant positive effect and religiosity in moderating literacy facilitation on adoption intention is significantly positive.
