Abstract

The main objective of this study is to analyze and predict the determinants of individual intention about to with concerning the behavior of consuming halal-certified medicines. This research develops the Theory of Planned Behavior (TPB), namely adding the constructs of religiosity and halal literacy into the TPB model. The scope of this research is people who live on the island of Java with a total sample of 210 people. This study uses a quantitative approach with the PLS-SEM (Partial Least Square) – (Structural Equation Model) analysis technique, the software used is SmartPLS 4. The results of this study indicate that behavior control and halal literacy have a positive and significant effect on the intention to consume drugs halal certified, while attitudes, subjective norms, and religiosity were found to have no positive and significant effect on the intention to consume halal certified medicines. then the intention to consume has a positive and significant influence on the behavior of consuming halal-certified medicines. The findings of this study are expected to contribute to predicting a comprehensive model of consumer behavior from an Islamic perspective, particularly in the context of consumption intention towards consumption behavior of halal-certified medicines.
