Abstract

The choice of working abroad to become TKW raises new problems in the family, especially related to independent character education for the children of TKW families. This study aims to find out how the independent character education method for TKW family children. As well as knowing what factors influence the independent character of the TKW family children in Semanding Hamlet, Kawedusan Village, Ponggok District, Blitar Regency. This research was conducted in Semanding Hamlet, Kawedusan Village, Ponggok District, Blitar Regency. This approach uses qualitative research with a qualitative descriptive research type. The data used in this study includes primary data, namely data taken directly through interviews with informants. Data collection techniques used include interviews, observation, and documentation. Test the validity of the data using triangulation techniques. This research uses case studies as the basis of its theory. The results showed that independent character education for the children of TKW families in Semanding Hamlet, Kawedusan Village, Ponggok District, Blitar Regency. The method used in independent character education for TKW family children in Semanding Hamlet, Kawedusan Village, Ponggok District, Blitar Regency uses exemplary, modeling, habituation, repetition, training, and motivation methods. Then the factors that support the success of the independent character of TKW children in Semanding Hamlet, Kawedusan Village, Ponggok District, Blitar Regency include environmental factors, both internal (family) and external (environmental) factors, parenting factors, and educational factors.
