Abstract

The formulation of the problem in this study is what are the factors that affect the resilience of diaspora students at Afkaaruna Islamic boarding school. The purpose of this study is to describe the factors that affect the resilience of diaspora students in Afkaaruna Islamic boarding school. This study uses descriptive qualitative research methods, where the study is more emphasis on the analysis of inductive and deductive conclusions by using scientific logic. In this case, what the researcher wants to achieve is in the form of a description of (the answer to the formulation of the problem), it means descriptive qualitative research as research that the results of the data collected are in the form of words and not numbers. (Denim, 2002) factors that affect the resilience of students at Afkaaruna Islamic Boarding School in subject 1 is Culture shock at the beginning of life, then in Subject 2 is far from parents and time-intensive activities, while Subject 3 is the limitation of reference learning resources.From the explanation that has been submitted, it can be concluded that the factors that affect the resilience of Diaspora students in Afkaaruna consist of external factors and internal factors. external factors are the support of family, friends, and Mushrif-Mushrif and caregivers from boarding schools. while the internal factors in the form of adaptability, sociability, and the desire of individuals want to be better.
