Abstract

Economic problems such as low family income can cause family life needs to be insufficient so that they can trigger unhappiness in marriage. This study aims to determine the relationship between personal commitment and resilience with marital happiness. The method used in this study is quantitative with 3 research scales, namely: the marital happiness scale, the personal commitment scale, and the resilience scale. This study used a purposive sampling technique in determining the sample. The sample in this study were married individuals with a total of 177 respondents who were determined through g*power. The analysis technique used is multiple linear regression with the JASP application. The results showed that the p value <0.001 means that there is a significant relationship between personal commitment and resilience and marital happiness with an effective contribution of 60%. Analysis of each independent variable shows a significance level of <0.001, meaning that personal commitment has a positive relationship with marital happiness with an effective contribution of 41.4% and resilience has a positive relationship with marital happiness with an effective contribution of 18.6%.
