Abstract

This study aims to determine whether there is a relationship between self-esteem and narcissism in adolescents in Srumbung Magelang. The data collection method in this study is by using the narcissism scale and self-esteem scale. The data analysis method used is the Pearson Product Moment correlation technique. The results of data analysis showed that the correlation coefficient between self-esteem and narcissism variables was -0.264 and p = 0.041 (p <0.05). These results indicate that there is a negative and significant relationship between self-esteem and narcissism in adolescents with a percentage of 7% and the remaining 93% is influenced by other variables.
