Abstract

The covid-19 pandemic which affected the education sector and caused the decline in interest in UIN Sunan Kalijaga. After the pandemic, things have improved, and want to know how the communication strategy implemented by UIN Sunan Kalijaga as a public university attracts new prospective students using qualitative research methods. Where researchers conducted interviews with UIN Sunan Kalijaga admissions and observed UIN Sunan Kalijaga's social media, in this case, the administration of UIN Sunan Kalijaga made several adjustments to the communication strategy, combining digital and conventional media as its promotional media and maximizing face-to-face socialization. create programs that increase the reach of the target audience of UIN Sunan Kalijaga. The data here is analyzed using the ADPLAN model which can be used to evaluate advertising. Source triangulation is used in this research by conducting interviews with new students of UIN Sunan Kalijaga as the admissions target audience. The results of this study show that UIN Sunan Kalijaga admissions conduct a communication strategy by creating several programs to increase the attention and interest of UIN Sunan Kalijaga.
