Abstract

To run an organization, human resources are the primary asset. Administration or educational staff plays an important role because it involves the academic load at a university. In addition, they are also responsible for providing services to the needs of both lecturers and students. This makes human resources management and development a basic requirement in order to support the survival of an organization. However, in practice there are often various problems that impede performance, such as group cohesiveness and social loafing. This study aims to determine the relationship between group cohesiveness and social loafing on the performance of Education Staff at UIN Sunan Kalijaga Yogyakarta. The sample in this study totaled 116 subjects who were Education Officers at UIN Sunan Kalijaga Yogyakarta. Sampling using simple random sampling. The measurement tools used are condition measurement tools including performance scales, the Ground Environment Questionnaire (GEQ), and the Social Loafing Tendency Questionnaire (SLTQ). The data analysis technique used in this study was the analysis of multiple linear regression models. The results of this study indicate that there was no relationship between group cohesiveness and social laziness on the performance of Education Staff at UIN Sunan Kalijaga Yogyakarta (
