Abstract
Amar ma'ruf nahi munkar is an Islamic value where the idea of doing good and avoiding wrong acts has universal value for humanization and liberation. Amar ma'ruf nahi munkar can be found in various aspects of human life, with film being one example, specifically in the popular anime One Piece arc Wano Kuni part 1. The main focus of the arc is the liberation of Wano Kuni from oppression, and this liberation is strongly connected to the ideas of humanization and liberation. This research uses the qualitative descriptive method and analysis using the semiotic analysis of Roland Barthes. Barthesian Semiotic divide sign into two, namely signifiers and signified. The two parts will then be analyzed to reveal the denotative meaning, connotative meaning, and myth. The analysis results will then be linked to universal values of amar ma'ruf nahi munkar. The result of the research indicates that the scene in the anime One Piece arc Wano Kuni part 1 contains the values of amar ma'ruf nahi munkar. These values are implicit in various signs seen in the movie, both visual and audio. The values of amar ma'ruf expressed in the anime through the preservation of human dignity or fii ahsani taqwim, the avoidance of objectification, and the protection of humanity from alienation. Meanwhile, the values of nahi munkar in the anime refer to liberation in politics, society and economics.
