Abstract
The incident at the Kanjuruhan Stadium became a dark history in the world of Indonesian football. The incident that occurred during the match between Arena FC and Persebaya caused hundreds of people to die. This incident became the topic of news coverage in various mass media, including Kompas.com and Detik.com. The two media share news that contains various information about incident at the Kanjuruhan Stadium as well as its role as mass media. On the other hand, the realities presented in the news by the two media have gone through a construction process. Each media also has its own way of framing an incident. This study aims to analyze the framing of reporting incident at the Kanjuruhan Stadium for the period 2-6 October 2022 on Kompas.com and Detik.com. This research is a qualitative descriptive study using the Robert N. Entman framing analysis method. The results of this study indicate that there are differences between Kompas.com and Detik.com in framing the reporting of incidents at the Kanjuruhan Stadium. Kompas.com said the actions of the security forces who did not prioritize the safety of supporters and break the rules by using crowd control gas were the cause of the incident at the Kanjuruhan Stadium. Meanwhile, Detik.com tends to show the actions of supporters who are anarchic
