Abstract

The Ministry of State Secretariat is determined to become a more progressive ministry and continue to innovate so that it will definitely build institutions. This study aims to analyze how to improve the image through the independent learning apprenticeship program at the Ministry of State Secretariat as a smart government. The type of research used in this research is qualitative research where the data collected is obtained through observation and interviews. Then, the data obtained were analyzed using descriptive methods and inductive mindset analysis. By analyzing specific data, general conclusions can be drawn relating to image enhancement through the independent learning apprenticeship program at the Ministry of state secretariat as a smart government. From this research, it can be concluded that government image theory with four main aspects to improve the government's image which includes Orientation, Facilities, Capabilities, and Targets. ensure that the apprenticeship program run by the Ministry of State Secretariat can provide optimally for interns and student apprentices so that the Independent Learning internship program currently implemented at the Ministry of State Secretariat can improve the image of the institution and provide good benefits for students and society at large.
