Abstract

This research aims to: (1) develop a virtual practicum guide using PhET on simple harmonic motion material for SMA / MA student, (2) find out the quality of the virtual practicum guide using PhET on simple harmonic motion material for SMA/MA student. The research is a R&D or research with a procedural model deveopment research according to Thiagarajan which involve 4 main steps, namely (1) define, (2) design, (3) develop, (4) disseminate. This research is done until the develop stage, namely until the instrument validation and assessment stage. Research in the form of quality assessment sheet of virtual practicum guidebooks for material experts, media experts, and physics teachers using Likert scae made in the form of a checklist. The result of the research develop are in the form of a virtual practicum guidebook using PhET on simple harmonic motion material for SMA/MA student. The quality of the virtual practicum guide developed according to material experts and media experts have Very Good Quality (VG) with a score of 3,84 and 3,50. The assessment of the physics teacher has Good quality (G) with a score 3,23. The result of this study indicate that the virtual practicum guide is developed can be used as a source of learning physics SMA/MA.
