Abstract

The Barn O wl is known as a nocturnal raptor bird that has the ability to fly silently and can rotate its head up to 270⁰ or even more. This study aims to determine the anatomy of the skeleton of the Barn O wl ( Tyto alba, Scopoli, 1769 ) and its making into an atlas as a learning resource for students. This study used one 8 month old male Barn Owl. From this research, the skeleton specimen of the Barn Owl was produced along with the description of its bone parts. In making it as an atlas, researcher used Canva application through the stages of material preparation, layout design and product printing. The atlas was assessed by 1 media expert, 1 subject expert, 1 lecturer and 10 Biology Education students of UIN Sunan Kalijaga The instrument used in this research is questionnaire assessment of media expert, subject expert, lecturer and student responses. The results of the overall assessment of the anatomical atlas of the skeleton of the Barn Owl showed a very good qualifications with 93.33% media expert, 95.2% subject expert, 96% lecturer and 91.04% students with the category "Very
