Abstract

This research aims to recognize the complexity of School Librarian work and see how work stres is faced and School Librarian’s management in dealing with work stres. This research uses a qualitative descriptive method, with data collection methods through observation, interviews, and documentation. While data collection used a purposive sampling technique, namely data taken from Shool Librarian who know and have basic information about the research topic, in this case the librarian/ School Librarian from the SMA LTI IGM Palembang Library, students, and teachers. Furthermore, data analysis uses data reduction, data presentation and drawing conclusions. Then to test the validity of the data, researchers used triangulation. This research has the following results: (1) The complexity of the School Librarian at the SMA LTI IGM Palembang Library is due to the school's policy of entrusting the duties of the Principal and librarian to School Librarian at the same time. However, this did not make School Librarian depressed but faced it enjoyably, (2) Stres faced by School Librarian at the School Librarian Palembang Library when faced with activities related to the library's external factors and the school's external factors, (3) The stress management carried out by the school librarians resulted in finding that the school librarians at the Library of SMA LTI IGM employed problem-focused coping and emotional-focused coping techniques..
