Abstract

Humans are social beings who are interconnected with each other to meet their needs. One of them is the arisan activity carried out by the people of Dusun Kwayon Jambanan Village Sidoharjo sub-district Sragen regency. Arisan is a social activity that is in the community as a means of friendship and gathering together. The arisan in meaning is arisan flavoring. The purpose of this research is to find out the practice of arisan flavoring and it is impact on the community’s economy. In addition, it aims to find out about the review of Islamic law. This type of research is field research. While the nature of the research is descriptive qualitative. Data sources used are primary and secondary data sources. The informants in this study are two members of the arisan and six members of the arisan who are selected based on the category of economic status. This study uses data collection techniques of observation, interviews, and literature studies. Then data analysis is carried out so that the research is arranged systematically, which then conclusions are obtained. The results of this study indicate that there are differences in the implementation of arisan flavoring, the arisan fees that must be given or paid. This is because the contribution is determined based on the current market price, so that if it is nominally it is not the same from time to time. In terms of “maṣlaḥah”, this arisan activity is more beneficial than “mudarat”. This can be seen from the impact it causes. The impact on the economy can be felt directly by all levels of society, from the top, middle and lower economy circles. With this arisan they are greatly assisted economically so that they do not only rely on family income.
