Abstract

Conventional banks are still a debate because their operational activities are still considered contrary to Islamic law, as a result of the application of interest to customers. On the other hand, Islamic banks continue to grow bigger, but Muslims who should be the largest target market for Islamic banks, it turns out that there are still many muslimin who prefer conventional banks. Of course, conventional banks are the choice of Muslims for various reasons. One of the factors influencing the choice of conventional banks is the satisfaction factor, so it is interesting to investigate further regarding the role of religiosity on Muslim customer satisfaction. This type of research is empirical sociological research with a quantitative approach. The analysis method used is descriptive-analytical. Data collection in this study uses primary data obtained through surveys by distributing questionnaires or questionnaires as research instruments. The population in this study is students of the Faculty of Sharia and Law UIN Sunan Kalijaga Yogyakarta. Sampling in this study used a snowball sampling technique with a total of 100 samples. The independent variable consists of religiosity, trust, value perception and service quality, while the dependent variable is Muslim customer satisfaction. The data analysis technique used is multiple linear regression analysis with SPSS software assistance tools. The test results showed that the variable of religiosity and the variable of trust had a significant positive effect on the satisfaction of Muslim customers at Conventional Banks, while the variables of value perception and variables of service quality did not have a significant effect on the satisfaction of Muslim customers at Conventional Banks. The higher the level of religiosity of a person, the greater their satisfaction with the services of conventional banks. However, an interesting phenomenon that arises is that customers do not integrate knowledge or religious beliefs in interactions with banks, so there is a separation between religious logic and worldly logic in dealing with banks. Customer satisfaction is more influenced by the material benefits they immediately feel, such as ease of access to banking services, rather than the consideration of sharia principles in their financial decisions.
