Abstract

This study explains about the Gunung Jati Council and the revitalization of socio-cultural ethics in the teenagers of Ploso Hamlet. Juvenile delinquency and socio-cultural ethics that are fading among adolescents, make the Gunung Jati Council involved in efforts to foster people, especially adolescents through an understanding approach to adolescents and activities such as routine studies of prayer, dhikr, and taklim. These study patterns then became a method of attracting the attention of adolescents which were then included in the assembly study material accompanied by an understanding of religious values and sociocultural ethics wrapped in art media in the form of hadrohan and puppet performances. Study of Gunung Jati Council and socio-cultural ethics of adolescents in Ploso Hamlet. This study uses qualitative methods with descriptive techniques in collecting data to obtain primary data through observation, interview, and documentation methods. In addition, literature research to obtain secondary data obtained from books, journals, articles, and the internet. The sample technique used is purporsive sampling selected to determine respondents or informants in the study. The informants who became the source of data for the author were the leaders of the Gunung Jati Council, the Head of Ploso Hamlet, the administrators as well as male students and female students of the Gunung Jati Council. Analytical techniques in this study are divided into several techniques, namely data collection techniques, data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing or verification. This study explains several things. First, the efforts of the Gunung Jati Council about the revitalization of socio-cultural ethics have tangible results, namely by trying to approach the media of hadron to adolescents, invitations through emotional approaches, giving examples, providing understanding, and deepening of religious knowledge and further politeness values. The efforts that have been made encourage the Gunung Jati Council to carry out a broader strategy in revitalizing socio-cultural ethics for adolescents at large, namely through Islamic studies and sociocultural ethics through activities such as routines and recitations. Furthermore, it also collaborates between communities, mass organizations, and local governments. Then the last is the segmentation of the pilgrims of the teak mountain assembly and the transfer of knowledge.
