Abstract

The tradition of grave pilgrimage in this community is a culture or tradition passed down and will continue to be preserved in every generation so that it can survive until now. With the tomb of Syeh Bela Belu is expected to have a positive impact and for the community, where the impact arises due to changes in an existing activity, so that it all results in changes in the economy of the community, especially for traders around the area of Syeh Bela Belu tomb. In its operation to study these problems, this research applies the theory of change according to Talcott Parsons regarding the structure of AGIL structural functionalism. This research applies qualitative methods with descriptive techniques. Data collection is carried out by means of interviews, observation, and documentation. The informants in this study amounted to 12 people, whose informant selection was carried out using purposive sampling or sample selection based on certain objectives and qualifications. This study uses data collection, reduction, display, verification, and conclusion techniques. This study aims to explain how the merchant society maintains economic improvement. Based on the research that has been done, the following findings were obtained. First, the presence of pilgrims to the tomb of Syeh Bela Belu has a positive impact on the economy of the local community by utilizing this potential as a business opportunity. By taking advantage of existing opportunities, people who sell in the cemetery area feel the income obtained increases so that there are economic changes such as being able to meet daily needs, developing businesses and being able to pay for their children to go to school. Second, Adaptation of the Parangtritis Community in the Practice of Religious Tourism at the Tomb of Syeh Bela Belu After the Pandemic, there needs to be a strategy which must maintain the quality of food and services, innovations. Business owners must commit to maintaining the quality offered, which will ultimately help be able to increase the success of their business, after that there is a survival strategy namely active strategy, passive strategy and network strategy.
