Abstract
This research examines poverty in the regencies or cities of Papua Province over six year period from 2017-2022, considering independent variables such as economic growth (GDP at constant prices by field of business as an indicator), regional minimum wage, open unemployment rate, and human capital (average length of schooling as an indicator). The data used is secondary data obtained from the Central Statistics Agency (BPS) of regencies/Cities in Papua Province. The research design employed is quantitative, and the data analysis technique involves panel data regression analysis, with the selected model being the Fixed Effect Model. The tool used for data analysis is Eviews 12. The findings in this research indicate that the variables of economic growth and minimum wage have a significant negative impact on the poverty rate in the regencies/cities of Papua Province from 2017 to 2022. However, the variables of open unemployment rate and human capital do not significantly affect the poverty rate in the regencies/cities of Papua Province during the same period.
