Abstract

This research examines the influence of Foreign Direct Investment (FDI), Portfolio Investment, Tourism, Inflation and Net Exports on Balance of Payment (BoP) for the 1995-2022 period in ASEAN-6. Panel data regression is the analysis technique used in this research. The World Bank provided secondary data for this research. 168 samples from six ASEAN countries, namely Indonesia, Malaysia, the Philippines, Singapore, Thailand and Vietnam, were used in this research. Research findings show that Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) has a negative and significant influence on the Balance of Payment (BoP), while Portfolio Investment (IP) and Net Exports have a positive and significant influence on the Balance of Payment (BoP). Meanwhile, Tourism and Inflation do not have a influence on the Balance of Payment (BoP).
