Abstract

The availability of teaching materials that are suitable for the Merdeka curriculum, especially physics, at MAN 2 Yogyakarta is still limited and has not been able to make students learn independently. As many as 15 out of 20 students find physics difficult, especially in measurement materials. Students have difficulty distinguishing significant figures, determining measurement uncertainty, and reading the results of measuring instruments such as calipers and micrometers. Several approaches have been used by teachers in learning, one of which is the scientific approach. However, its implementation has not been optimal due to the lack of physics teaching materials that comprehensively integrate the scientific approach. This research aims to 1) produce a physics e-module based on the scientific approach to measurement in scientific work, 2) determine the feasibility of the physics e-module based on the scientific approach to measurement in scientific work based on the assessment of subject matter experts, media experts, and physics teachers, 3) determine the response of students to the physics e-module based on the scientific approach to measurement in scientific work, and 4) determine the feasibility of the physics e-module based on the scientific approach to measurement in scientific work in physics learning. This research follows the Research and Development (R&D) methodology using Thiagarajan's 4D development model (1974), consisting of stages: 1) Define, 2) Design, 3) Development, and 4) Disseminate. However, this study only progressed up to the Development stage, specifically extensive testing and implementation of the physics e-module. Instruments used include validation sheets for instruments and products, an assessment sheet for the e-module's feasibility, a student response sheet, and an observation sheet for the e-module's implementation. Validation was conducted using Aiken’s V scale with 3 scales. Assessment of the e-module's feasibility and student responses used a Likert scale with 4 levels. Meanwhile, the implementation was analyzed using the Interjudge Agreement (IJA) percentage. The result of this research is a scientific approach-based physics e-module focusing on measurement within scientific work designed for 10th-grade students at MAN 2 Yogyakarta. The evaluation scores given by subject matter experts, media experts, and physics teachers averaged 3.19; 3.90; and 3.80 respectively, categorized as Good (G), Very Good (VG), and Very Good (VG). Students' responses from limited and extensive testing received average scores of 3.19 and 3.20 categorized as Agree (A). The implementation result of the physics e-module in extensive testing achieved a 100% percentage, meeting the criteria for successful completion of all activities.
