Abstract

This study aims to : (1) determine the feasibility of physics problem based learning e-modules on renewable energy material. (2) determine students' responses to the physics problem-based learning e-module on renewable energy material on developing students' critical thinking skills. (3) determine the effectiveness of the physics problem based learning e-module on renewable energy material on students' critical thinking skills. This research is an R&D (Research and Development) type research with a 4D model consisting of define, design, develop and disseminate. In this research, trials were carried out twice, namely limited trials and extensive trials. The respondents for this product trial were 27 class X students in the 2022/2023 school year or class XI in the 2023/2024 school year. The instruments used in this research include validation sheets, response sheets, and pretest-post test question sheets. The validation sheet is used to obtain product suitability scores. Instrument validation uses a Likert scale with 4 rating scales from 1-4. Meanwhile, the student response questionnaire uses the Guttman scale with 2 scales with statements of agree and disagree. For the pretest-post test questions, there are 5 essay questions with each question containing an indicator of critical thinking according to Facione, namely interpretation, inference, analysis, explanation and evaluation. The results of this research are: (1) the feasibility of the e-module developed according to material experts, media experts and teachers is 91%, 94% and 96% respectively. (2) the students' response to the e-module developed was Agree (S) with an average score of 0.96. (3) the effectiveness of the e-module developed is relatively high because the gain value obtained is 0.90 and the number of students whose score reaches the KKM is more than 75%.
