Abstract

This study departs from the researcher's interest in the management of facilities and infrastructure applied at MAN 4 Bantul Yogyakarta, from pre-observation shows that the existence of facilities and infrastructure is still incomplete, but at MAN 4 Bantul Yogyakarta both academic and non-academic achievements are quite good as evidenced by the many students who win national and international competitions such as LKTI, Olympics, Arts, Sports and many graduates are accepted at favourite universities so that researchers are interested in doing this research. From here the researcher wants to know (1) How is the management of facilities and infrastructure at MAN 4 Bantul Yogyakarta (2) How is the implementation of facilities and infrastructure management in improving student learning achievement at MAN 4 Bantul Yogyakarta (3) What are the supporting and inhibiting factors for the implementation of facilities and infrastructure management in improving student learning achievement at MAN 4 Bantul Yogyakarta. This research uses descriptive qualitative methods. Data collection techniques used observation, interviews, and documentation. Data analysis techniques used were data dondensation, data display, and conclusions drawing While checking the validity of the data using source triangulation and technique triangulation. The results showed (1) Management of facilities and infrastructure at MAN 4 Bantul Yogyakarta, namely: planning, procurement, distribution, use and maintenance, inventory, and elimination. (2) Implementation of facilities and infrastructure management in improving student learning achievement at MAN 4 Bantul, namely: first, improving facilities and infrastructure. Second, making a comfortable reading corner. Third, effective use, maintenance of facilities and infrastructure Fourth, utilisation of facilities and infrastructure as learning resources. Fifth, teacher involvement as a means of support in improving student achievement, through three aspects of cognitive, affective, and psychomotor. (3) Supporting factors for the implementation of facilities and infrastructure management are: Competent human resources, structured stakeholder involvement in the management, monitoring and evaluation of infrastructure and students. The inhibiting factors are: Budget limitations, lack of adequate facility infrastructure, lack of self-awareness and sense of responsibility of stakeholders in maintaining facilities and infrastructure.
