Abstract

This research was motivated by data from initial interview, that there were many MAN 1 Sleman graduates who decided not to continue their education and preferred to work. This is certainly not in line with the competency of MA graduates in general, because the basis of madrasas is not to produce skilled graduates. Graduates who have skills usually come from MAK/SMK. Therefore, MAN 1 Sleman took the initiative to develop a skills program with madrasa plus innovation. This skills program is not carried out by all madrasas in Yogyakarta, so this is of interest to researchers to dig deeper into the innovations carried out by MAN 1 Sleman with the aim of providing students with independent living skills. The aim of this research is to determine the implementation of the Madrasah Plus Skills curriculum through the KHM program for MAN 1 Sleman students and to determine the supporting and inhibiting factors for implementing the Madrasah Plus Skills curriculum. This research is qualitative research with a descriptive analytical approach. Data collection techniques in this research used observation techniques, in-depth interviews and documentation. The data analysis methods used include transcribing, coding or labeling, grouping, comparing and contrasting, and interpreting. And the data validity technique uses the source triangulation method. The research results show that: First, the implementation of the madrasa plus skills curriculum is in the following stages. a) planning stage for implementing the madrasa curriculum plus MAN 1 Sleman student skills by determining teaching objectives and then carrying out the development process. The process of preparing the school curriculum consists of urgency, survey, extracurricular skills, appointment of MA Plus Skills and Implementation of the Madrasah Plus Skills Curriculum. b) stage of implementing the madrasa curriculum plus skills in using learning strategies with a block system. c) the evaluation stage consists of evaluating the education program and student learning outcomes. Second, supporting and inhibiting factors for implementing the madrasa plus skills curriculum. The factors that support the running of the KHM program are; there is support from madrasa stakeholders, has teachers with special skills, community needs, and is included in the extracurricular curriculum. Meanwhile, the inhibiting factors faced by madrasas in implementing the KHM program are; lack of facilities and infrastructure, student problems and less effective learning hours.
