Abstract

Gender issues are issues that are often discussed in all fields, including in the field of education in this case Islamic education. The term gender is not only addressed to women, but also to men. Gender is not just a gender difference, but gender is more focused on the role between men and women caused by social construction in society. Islamic education puts forward the value of equality which is expected Islamic education can be gender equality education that is able to encourage changes in the frame of mind in various dimensions of social life. Islamic education gender perspective is an education that transfers knowledge and Islamic values based on the Qur'an and Hadith with the aim of making human beings with Islamic personality by taking into account the differences in knowledge, needs, and experiences of each individual both men and women as a result of the social construction of their environment, so as to make Islamic education gender inclusive. This study aims to examine and analyze Islamic education according to Hasan Langgulung, and find the linkage or gender perspective in the thought of Islamic education Hasan Langgulung, whether Hasan Langgulung who has been known as an expert in psychology and Education discusses gender in his thinking about Islamic education. In connection with this, the author tries to find and analyze the thought of Hasan Langgulung's Islamic education in a gender perspective, so that is the reason the author conducted this research, because according to the author there are not many studies that discuss as well as the authors carefully. This research is a library research (library), using hermeneutics research approach, then the problem raised becomes a complex thing to be discussed. So that different meanings will be found from each of the issues raised. Then this research method is descriptive analysis by collecting primary and secondary data which includes books by Hasan Langgulung and other books and articles related to the theme of research. The results showed that Islamic education according to Hasan Langgulung in the perspective of gender as a whole according to the author in his thought he expected the process of Islamic education to be implemented as a whole that pays attention to justice and gender equality so that students both men and women get the same opportunity to get a decent Islamic education, so that gender-inclusive Islamic education will be realized. And for the implementation of Islamic education in the process is carried out thoroughly so as to realize a fair and gender-equal Islamic education so that every individual both men and women get the same rights and opportunities in obtaining a decent education, in this case, Islamic education. Both in terms of the purpose of Islamic education, Islamic education curriculum and Islamic educational institutions. Thus, there is no discrimination in Islamic education, because in the eyes of Allah humans have an equal position both men and women, so Islamic education is expected to be a gender-friendly, equal and fair education by not highlighting or discriminating against one gender.
