Abstract

The background of this research problem is the discovery of several phenomena experienced by students in memorizing such as many students who find it difficult to memorize the Qur’an but there are also students who memorize the Qur’an quickly, students have not been able to use their time properly, laziness is also an obstacle for students in memorizing, problems with friends and family and loss of motivation and stagnant enthusiasm. Every boarding school certainly wants an increase in the ability to memorize the Qur’an from students, as well as the Pondok Pesantren Taḥfiẓul Qur’an (PPTQ) Al Amin. this is a tough challenge for a boarding school leader who is fully responsible for his students at the boarding school. The type of research used is field research (field research) with qualitative descriptive properties. Data collection techniques were carried out through observation, interviews and documentation. Furthermore, the data were analyzed qualitatively, namely data reduction, verification and conclusions. Data validity was tested using data triangulation, namely technical triangulation, source triangulation and time triangulation. The research showed: First, In the process of memorizing the Qur'an by PPTQ Al Amin students, there are three methods, namely the wahdah, sima'i and muraja'ah methods. Before students take part in the tahfid program, PPTQ Al Amin students must take part in the tilawati and amtsilati programs. The stages for depositing the memorization are additional deposits with administrators or dedicated students and then continued with Abah Nawawi while simultaneously checking tajwid, makharijul letters and not stammering when depositing memorization after that depositing memorization with Umi Ida with the minimum deposit that must be owned, namely one juz. Every time you get 5 juz of memorization, a tahfid test will be carried out. Second, the role of the leader in improving the ability to memorie the Qur’an of students at PPTQ Al Amin is that the leader acts as an educator, manager, administrator, supervisor, leader and motivator.
